I recommended my friend to apply and she has no defaults and she got a decline:mad: Lived in her home 28 yrs plus, one other credit card etc

Who is eligible to apply for a card?

UK residents aged 18 years and over with a UK bank or building society account. You will need to provide a landline telephone number for home or work and have a regular source of income through full-time or part-time employment of more than 16 hours per week (this can be you or your partner), or be a student, retired or on incapacity benefit. Finally, you need to have a clean credit history, ie, no arrears, defaults, County Court Judgements (CCJs), bankruptcies or Individual Voluntary Agreements (IVAs).

Can you get it if you already have a Cap1? I guess not as they dont want you to transfer the balance youre already trying to pay off with daft interest. hmm answered my own question! sorry- tired :)

    1) the 0% is on purchases only, not balance transfers
    2) you can't balance transfer between cards issued by the same provider anyway

There doesn't appear to be anything on the website stating that you can't apply if you already hold a Capital One credit card

I am truly astonished! I was expecting a limit of £250-£500 ish. I got £1000  at least its enough to pay for my whole purchase :)
