I was convicted of driving without insurance, I've had enhanced CRB's and they have not appeared.
I am desperate for acceptance, please hit the 'thanks' button.

AFAIK no, i thought no tv licence was dealt with by the county court, maybe someone else can clarify.

If you get prosecuted for no tv licence, then it's in the magistrates court (ie criminal court, not county (civil) court).

I had an enhanced disclosure done as I work in a nursery and my speeding conviction didn't show up.

Enhanced crbs should show up even spent convictions.

Was yours a court conviction or a fixed penalty? Wouldn't expect fixed penalty tickets to be on a crb.
  • Well I got done for doing 50 in a 30 zone, was lucky as the camera clocked me at 50, I was however doing no more than 40, hence contesting the whole thing. Anyway, I got a 200 fine and 5 penalty points, which is quite weird for the speed I was doing.

In relation to Scottish CRB checks, the solicitor informed me that because it went to court I it will come up as speeding is seen as a criminal offence. I have recently submitted one to work in prisons thus I need some security checks also. The employing agency dont seem to take this as issue as i declared it on the app form.

The solicitor also mentioned that speeding is a very minimal offence which it would be highly unlikely to not get a job because of this...

I will wait and see myself.. not that Im a bit anxious for it to come through or anything lol

I have two speeding convictions and one conviction for using mobile phone while driving (before it was a points offense).

All 3 show up on my enhanced disclosure

In relation to the impact of having driving convictions on a disclosure/crb check - the offenses are only relevant if you are doing a driving job.

You ability to work with children for example is not affected by driving convictions unless you have to drive them anywhere, at which point the employers insurers may be unhappy about points.

Any employer who doesn't employ you because of a totally unrelated conviction is not following the guidelines.

I have just been put through a CRB check and at the moment do not know what the out come will be in terms of keeping my job

the facts are..my company (i have been there 2 and a half years) was bought out by another the new company as asked for all employees of my company to go through the Basic CRB checks and gave us forms to fill in. This I did but only listing my unspent conviction of driving without third party insurance. I then got a letter from Disclosure Scotland asking me to phone them as they need to confirm information I had but on my form which I did only to find out that a conviction i had 6 and a half years ago for drink driving and driving whilst diqualified was unspent mainly because the punishment included a 4 month suspended prison sentence which means the conviction will not be spent for another 5months.

I am not proud of what has happened but at the same time i can not change the past

I am so stressed that am going to loose my job because 1 i did not declear it and 2 because of the convictions.
My job has nothing to do with driving.

right now life feel tough not knowing what will happen

As long as it is disclosed. I have not employed people before because although the CRB check came back with minor convictions they had not disclosed them, therefore dishonest = no job.

I also had one CRB check come back that the bloke had been jailed for murder - when challenged he admitted he had killed his wife. No job for him either :)
