Xperia battery life

Hi Guys,

Has anyone else noticed the battery on new smart phones, especially the Xperia x10, just don't seem to last long at all.

I have a sony ericsson xperia and i'm lucky if I can get through the day with some battery left. It also randomly will freeze or reset itself for no particular reason. Have spoken to Vodafone but all they suggest is sending it off to be checked out (which i've done twice) or buying a new phone.

I used to have an Iphone and HTC before this and both had similar problems.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar or do I just have a phone curse?

Thank you!

I think there may be a fault with the x10, I have an x10 mini and mine has just started randomly turning itself off at night, freezing and not charging properly.

If you search on google there seems to be quite a few others with the same problems.
  • The length of time I get off my Xperia X10's battery varies hugely depending on what I'm doing each day so how much I use it, from way less than a day to two days!

As you say, smartphones do kill batteries. What's draining your battery - have you looked in Settings - About - Battery Use?

Do you use juice defender? Get it on the market.

I've not had the resetting problem. Have you tried plugging it in to a computer and using SE's PC Companion software to update/repair?

If you are not using thewifi gps or data then switch them off, that will conserve battery, I have just had an experia ray and had more than 24hrs continuous (on) battery now down to 20% the data is on though and the weather updated every 6hrs .
