    Good afternoon Mr Geneer.

If I knew it was any of your business then I would answer you question. As it is, for all the time I have been a member here, I have never seen anyone posting under a similar name to mine, so I would put it to you that either this person you've seen has simply copied me or that it's entirely coincidental.

    Good day to you.

I saw a post from juan kerr and presumed it was you.

Good day to you, the other you and the new you:rotfl:

You own nothing in Thailand. It's against the law. If you wife kicked you into touch you would be getting on the plane with nothing.

You can't say your future is in Thailand either. Things can change here fast. Look at the flooding. Was that in your plan? How much has your property lost due to this?

I'm starting to think your no high flyer. Just some fat ex pat sitting in a bar down Nana Plaza. Singha beer t shirt and flip flops.:rotfl:

Oh my God, Nana Plaza. I looked in there once, to see what it was like.

I imagine you have your own chair in there.

Wouldnt it be funny if you were all sitting next to eachother, abusing one another on your blackberries,

I think you're being rather hard on Thailand by the way, and in any case sex pats like yourself are one of the worst things about it, so you should take some responsibility for its state.

Being new here I just don't get the 'in' jokes. But if it made you chuckle through your personally depressing life at home then everything is worth it. Cheer up Jimmy Lad. One day you'll work earn and deserve enough to move out of the old folks and stand on your own feet. Don't be scared of change.

Can you not read, you buffoon?

I work in Hong Kong and commute between there and Thailand because my wife is Thai, my properties are in Thailand and my future is in Thailand.

I met her while I was posted to Thailand for a job, seven years ago.
Despite the impression given by Sibley, not every foreigner is in Thailand for hookers, and that you think so says more about your psychological make-up than perhaps you care to reveal.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

The adams apple is a dead giveaway.

Hi reweird. You didn't answer my question.

How is it you were aware of the poster "rewired" and managed to join this locked hidden forum using an obvious play on his name?

    Just luck was it? ;)

    rewired is a poster?

Again, you're embarrassing yourself. You obviously have no understanding of what real expats do in Thailand, which is understandable given your lowly status there.

It is perfectly possible to own apartments outright. Do your research.

As for freehold land, you are correct. But there are numerous options available including company ownership, 33x3 leasehold arrangements, and of course putting the land in your wife's name.

I can see that the latter would be difficult for you, given her background. But some of us chose partners untainted with the sex industry. My wife didn't bring as much as me into the marriage, but she contributed substantially to our joint purchases.

Having said that, when I proposed buying the land to build our retirement home on, it was my wife who insisted i take out a usufruct to cover my 'interest' in it. I don't suppose you know what that means, but it means my interests are completely protected, even if she were to 'kick me out'.

Of course, in the event of a divorce, I would of course probably let her take the house anyway (it's not a significant part of my overall portfolio, and she already put a lot of her money into it already, so fair is fair), and if i were to die it would be hers too.

I can see your general viewpoint though, Sibley old boy. When you live in the gutter, it's hard to see the stars.

As for how much my property has 'lost' due to the flooding, I don't really understand the question. My property isn't impacted by the flooding at all, or at least not in the way you imply. Neither have been brought for investment purposes. We bought both as homes; one for the city and one for out of town.

Again, the average Brit's rather unimaginative obsession with linking every reference to Thailand with ladyboy's does raise serious questions about your subconscious yearnings.

I fear, my old chum, that such silly schoolboy snipes reveal far more about your psyche than you probably want to reveal openly.

Yes, I have one more question.
Yesterday you were leaving for Singapore.
Does that mean you log in from your hotel or whatever place you stay at, just to call someone a buffoon and justify your sex life?
For such a high flyer ;) like you it seems a bit sad.

Indeed I was, but in case you weren't aware, the internet has reached Singapore too. And Thailand too, where I was for the weekend.

I log in at idle moments both in the office or in the hotel - checking the news, the markets, the football scores and the always entertaining nonsense of MSE.

Was I justifying my sexlife? I don't recall bringing it up at all. I was explaining that I choose to have my home in Thailand because I used to work there and because of my wife's nationality.

    Is that so strange?
