Which is precisely why I posted… expected I’d find some interesting debate around the economy and house prices. Instead I find in idiot making sweeping generalisations about a country he(she?) has probably never visited, go figure.0

Can you not read, you buffoon?
I work in Hong Kong and commute between there and Thailand because my wife is Thai, my properties are in Thailand and my future is in Thailand.
I met her while I was posted to Thailand for a job, seven years ago.
Despite the impression given by Sibley, not every foreigner is in Thailand for hookers, and that you think so says more about your psychological make-up than perhaps you care to reveal.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.0

Yes, I have one more question.
Yesterday you were leaving for Singapore.
Does that mean you log in from your hotel or whatever place you stay at, just to call someone a buffoon and justify your sex life?
For such a high flyer like you it seems a bit sad. like you it seems a bit sad.
What am I doing right now? I'm in my office overlooking Victoria Harbour, preparing for a trip to Singapore tonight and then a long weekend in Phuket with my beautiful wife (who isn't an ex-prostitute).0

You own nothing in Thailand. It's against the law. If you wife kicked you into touch you would be getting on the plane with nothing.
You can't say your future is in Thailand either. Things can change here fast. Look at the flooding. Was that in your plan? How much has your property lost due to this?
I'm starting to think your no high flyer. Just some fat ex pat sitting in a bar down Nana Plaza. Singha beer t shirt and flip flops.:rotfl:We love Sarah O Grady0

Hi reweird. You didn't answer my question.
How is it you were aware of the poster "rewired" and managed to join this locked hidden forum using an obvious play on his name?
 Just luck was it?
 Good afternoon Mr Geneer.
If I knew it was any of your business then I would answer you question. As it is, for all the time I have been a member here, I have never seen anyone posting under a similar name to mine, so I would put it to you that either this person you've seen has simply copied me or that it's entirely coincidental.
 Good day to you.0

Non Thai people are not allowed to own the freehold on the land. You can own leasehold property. However if you'd married a Thai, then you probably could get round this I guess.0

A foreigner is not allowed to own land but if you want to buy a flat there is not much problem as long as most of the flats are owned by Thais.0
