  • Even 5-6 of the same item is too much. Why does a non e-bayer need 5 or 6 of the same thing?

However,The lego in my local went very quickly but I don't believe it was e-bayers. Most people want the cheap lego because it is a good deal. People only took one of each set on the whole but it was still gone in minutes. I certainly didn't see trolleys full of multiples of the same set. Please don't think that because others got it and you didn't it must have been e-bayers, at least not without evidence!:)

My evidence is that I did see people with far more than 5-6 of the same LEGO sets in their trollies. In fact, all they had was LEGO. Please don't think that because you didn't see the scalpers that they simply don't exist, at least not without the evidence of multiple MSE posters, HUKD posters, and the obligatory ebay listings!

I just don't get the logic behind selling the lego sets on ebay, especially the smaller sets. By the time you pay insertion, final value fee's, paypal fee's and postage costs profit must be minimal. I suppose they must have a high turnover of sales volume and sell for a lower profit. I didn't see anyone taking the pee with multiples of items at all, but I can well imagine it happened. I would be furious if I saw greedy individuals clear an entire shelf out with no thought for anyone else trying to save money.

I popped into the Romford store a couple of hours ago. Staff were filling the shelves all the time. There were quote a lot of toys left in there. I got a small princess phone, the small Lego bucket, small plasticine tub and car topps tin - think the cars tin will be going back as bought for a friends child thinking it was more like a game but it's more a collecting thing.

    Hi,

I went to Crayford yesterday at 8am and shelves practically bare as it had been open from 6am. Only managed to get a few bits as I noticed the staff bringing out crates.

I saw some one on here say they managed to get monster trucks-are these the disney cars monster trucks?
Also heard of someone getting an Imaginext dinosaur...anyone else seen any imaginext stuff? I'm after the t-rex for DS Christmas/Birthday in January.

    Many thanks
    Christine :)
  • :j I have just bought a pack of Littlest Pet Shop Prize Pets, (2 in a pack) I couldn't find a price on the shelf, but it scanned at 72p, so I went back and bought 2 more different ones and they all went through at 72p. The single ones alone are 99p. I've had a quick look elsewhere online and these seem to sell for £4.99 so a great buy!!

(Apologies if this has been posted already)

    Hi

I went to West Greeen yesterday at just after opening and there was a good selection but the lego was literally flying off the shelves. The SA who was working in that department was so helpful and was constantly trying to re-stock shelves, but was quite busy. She said they had more out back though.

I got quite a few bits for my little ones:
    D princess barbie
    Octonauts toys
    Star Wars figures
    Operation game
    Some small sylvanian sets

If you know what you want then ask away and i'll try and remember

Thank you! Just got back from there and it was brilliant! Shelves were quite full and SAs were constantly filling up empty ones. One SA said there were another few hundred different toys out the back

    I got:

Fisher Price Chatterphone £2.99 (think this was marked as half price at £4.99 on the SEL)

    Baby First Workstation £9.99

Baby Phone & Piano thing £6.49

    JS Unicorn Family £2.49

    Peppa Twinpack Figures £2.99

    Barbie Ballerina £2.99

Littlest Pet Shop Get Better Centre £8.49

    Hot Wheels Crash Pack £8.49

Cars 2 Klip Kits Lightning McQueen £3.99

HM Armed Forces Plane Launcher £4.99

    Cars Tin Puzzle £2.49

    Airfix plane £3.99

Cars 2pk bouncy balls £1 (doesn't show as half price on the receipt but SEL said £2 down to £1)

    Moon Sand Construction Set £4.99

    Nerf Whistler Darts £2.49

    Bakugan Stealth £3.49

    Tech Deck Starter Set £4.99

    Baby Ring Stacker £2.49

Disney Princess 'Make your own Tiara' set £2.49 (doesn't show as half price on receipt and no idea what SEL said as I couldn't find one for it!)

Spent just over £80 and thats my 3 kids Santa presents sorted (plus the Airfix as a present for my little brother-in-law).

Now just to find some cheap DS lites and games for DS1 & DD and I'm sorted kids presents wise...
    Grocery Challenge £5.43/£320.00
Don't Throw Food Away Challenge £0.00/£5.00
  • Has anyone seen Harry Potter Lego or the Littest Pet Shop Treehouse set in any of the sale? Thanks :)
