Beware - you don't need the cheapest place, but somewhere that's not selling fakes. These are faked in big quantities, so avoid eBay and places like Amazon Marketplace.

If he wants it as a fashion accessory that's fine, but he should be aware that, although sold as studio-quality, they aren't. Any really good make such as Sennheiser or Grado will be better for the same price (or possibly less)!

They're decent headphones (i'd consider using them to be honest) but they are a fashion accessory primarily as Fwor has said, if you really want them then i would highly advise a high street retailer (HMV & Argos both retail them) so as to avoid the fakes, which are rife with these products and when it comes to ears potentially dangerous.
Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.

Didn't see the ones you mentioned on the site but there is this offer on other dr dre headphones.

Twenty per cent off all beats by dr dre headphones at PC World until the 19th of October, enter

They aren't great quality, i'd much rather spend the money on Sennheiser HD's...

are these what he wants?? http://beatsbydre.myshopcoupon.com/monster-cable-beats-pro-special-edition-dr-dre-detox-headphones?___store=uk&___store=uk

Yes these are the ones I have seen them on amazon for£200 and ebay for upto £225. I am worried about them being fake and damaging his ears. He is after them because his mates have got them or are getting them soon. I think It's a lot of money for headphones!
Does anyone know if this site is ok to buy from. Thanks

I would not touch that site with someone else's very long bargepole.

It appears to have been registered a month ago by someone in Putian, China. The Company info and other pages on the website do not even exist. In short, it's a prime example of a site that you should avoid. Stick to retailers that you have heard of and know about.

Incidentally, you can get a fantastic pair of Sennheiser HD600's for not much more than £200...

check out the HD25's i posted a link to, my friend is a Pro sound man and he uses them, i want some after using his, perfect headphones, sound incredible, far better than the bass heavy, poor quality beatz headphones... the hd600 are more expensive, but then even better still...

to be honest you could buy a £60/£70 pair of Sennheisers from HMV and they'd be better than beatz in my opinion

Uniquely styled by the Doctor himself ... This is a must have product for any Dr. Dre fan ....

    Says it all really.

Just spent a small fortune on a "performance windcheater" from S.....y for my DD. Told me how many TM labels it had but little about the product.

    Don't you just love kids.

Son has Sennheiser and I have got Denon there is only so far your ears can follow the technology.

    .

Just out of interest how did you find out the site history, is this something mere mortals can do?
