Free BT broadband router

My boyfriend has been looking into hooking up his laptop and PC onto our BT broadband connection so we can both be online at the same time. It can be a bit pricey if you buy a router in PC World etc, but on the BT website he saw that new customers to broadband can get one free with their setup. Unfortunately we're not a new customer so when he called to ask about it they said it would be £25. So he said "Oh well, I'll just cancel and resubscribe then to get a free one", at which they then said, "save yourself and us the hassle, a free one will be with you next week". I'm impressed, as he doen't usually display moneysaving tendencies, p'raps it's rubbing off! Nice one BT.
