Story Telecom TravelTalk SIM and iNum.

Anyone know if ST charge for the leg of calls to iNum numbers?

iNum is an Internet based country-code that is free from many VoIP providers, and seeing as ST seem to be using a VoIP back-end for their dial-back service i figure that leg of the call might not be charged.

Anyone with a ST TT SIM willing to phone an iNum and see how much is charged as opposed to a UK geographical call?

+883-5100-0000-0091 is the number of an iNum echo test.

I use a VoIP account with Localphone as my main phone and have both a UK 01 number and an iNum on the account, so figured i could give my mother in Portugal a ST TT SIM and possibly save a few pence per minute by having her call my iNum instead of my UK number.

  • Only Story Telecom could tell you that. Even if it was free (which I doubt) there would be no guarantee it would be free tomorrow.

BT also have a SIP backbone but they charge 60p/minute for calling iNums.

Your mum can call iNums for the cost of calling a Lisbon number: +351 308803219
