Mac code required - yes or no?

I've changed from AOL broadband and line rental to sky broadband and sky talk with sky line rental.
Sky have given me a date of tues 18th october for full broadband activation.
AOL have sent emails advising of broadband services and line rental services being terminated which tie in with this date.
My question is, do I need to provide SKY with a MAC code or is that not required now?
Don't know if it makes any difference but I was no longer in contract with AOL - it expired about 3 years ago and we've been in a rolling contract ever since!
EDIT: Sorry, slight change of information - AOL actually emailed to say that the broadband would be cancelled within 5 working days so the broadband service with them has now ended anyway - so am I right in thinking that no MAC code is required as the service is over anyway?
Sorry, I'm not very techie!

If you're transferring the whole line i.e. taking Sky's own phone line, then you don't need a MAC code.
If AOL is being cancelled in entirety, then you don't need a MAC code to take up broadband elsewhere.0 -

Can't wait, they certainly couldn't be any worse than AOL! 0
