I'm going to New York for 5 days in Feb. Leaving hubby & my 2 girls at home to fend for themselves:D

I always try and find somewhere to go at the last minute in the UK at the beginning of August for about 5 days. We just see what the weathers like & what takes our fancy.

Again, )we're last minute people :) ) we'll book somewhere hot and sunny for our family holiday towards the end of the year - oct/nov time. It depends on how much cash we've got and whats going cheap at the time. We didn't do this last year and really missed the break.
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

We've just booked a week in Majorca today for August (although I keep seeing it spelt Mallorca). We made a family decision on the villa and the kids are now so excited having seen pictures they have handed over £10 of their christmas money to me each to spend on pool toys closer to the time!

We are off to Oz soon and I am pretty sure this will be our last European holiday for a very long time so wanted to choose really carefully. Husband works for himself and this is the only week he will be taking off all year as we want to save as much as possible but equally just needed one week away as a family. We love travelling to Europe and it'll be the one thing we miss when we are gone.

I have £600 worth of deals in Tesco's vouchers so am also going to book a weekend to Legoland and Chessington as well.

Wow. you are all going on some lovely trips. I am just back from a weekend in Perthshire, which has put me in the mood to book another break. I am going to France (competition win) for weekend in July. Haven't booked long holiday yet.
