I posted a question on this board about the wisdom of crossing from Portsmouth to Bilbao with arthritis (2 nights on board; weather in Bay of Biscay) cos I really feel like a proper holiday this year: driving back through France.
Emailed P&O, got helpful reply, so was starting to get excited and planning to book ferry now at reduced rate. Sat husband down to look at dates, and discovered that allowing for his A level marking dates and all his other stuff it just can't be done. Unless we regarded it as a Time Team holiday - we have just 3 days to get from Bilbao to Calais!

Am feeling very cross and thwarted and sorry for myself!
  • booked to go to egypt 27 august for 2 weeks never been there

then a family group of 13 are going to eurodisney for 4 days in july to celebrate MIL 60th

might try and squeeze in another but might be pushing my luck (And bank balance)
  • A girlie weekend in centerparcs in March, and then nothing else planned at all. Will probably get away for a week in the summer, but that will depend on how well we can save, and 2 bedrooms need decorating too.

Been to Egypt twice. Lovely country to visit! ;) Are you going to have time to do a Nile Cruise? Would highly recommend that.

South Africa is a beautiful country. It is my home! :o And a bonus is... our Pounds go sooooooooooo far! :j
Our neighbours visit every year and they always have wonderful stories to tell. Also, Johnny Vaughan on Capital radio goes at Christmas and he raves about the place. Says that its the one place where the fruit and vegetables taste amazing. :D

I have posted in the travel board about a 2 day cruise to Egypt from Cyprus. Have just received a quote from a company called Regency Travel, sailing on Salamis Glory, after advice on the board, and just wondered if anyone had any further recommendations or advice.
