    A bad HETAS install !

This stove had been fitted AND SIGNED off as complete, the owner tried to light the stove that night and was smoked out of the house. The stove was fitted into an existing chimney with register plate etc, no liner fitted, couldnt gain full access to full width of chimney because no soot box fitted.
This is what I got down the chimney once I'd removed the stove and flue pipe, filled two builders wheel barrows full of twigs and nesting material and dead birds. Needless to say I told the owner to report the installer to HETAS and show them the photos I took.
