Virgin Media - Paying too much?

Evening Everyone,
Just looking for some advice
.
I had some broadband disruptions tonight and after make my way to the VM Status Page, the link to upgrading packages was floating around, so I thought I'd have a look, and find out what I'm actually paying for..
Since we have two VM boxes, and 20MB broadband, I used the 'build a bundle' to try to match what I'm paying for now, and am thoroughly depressed after doing it! With a monthly figure arriving at £66 pm.
(And that's not a 1:1 comparison, 30MB broadband and with two 500GB HD TiVo Boxes)
I'm paying £81 a month for 20MB broadband (what 'was' XL), XL TV package, two boxes (one of them a V+, the other a old bog-standard SD one), and of course, the phone line.
Your main services (Provided by Virgin Media Ltd or Virgin Media Payments Ltd) £81.09
Description Date/Period Amount
Line Rental 20 April - 19 May £12.99
8 Rental Telephone 20 April - 19 May £0.00
Talk International 20 April - 19 May £1.75
Talk Mobile 20 April - 19 May £1.75
Talk Unlimited 20 April - 19 May £8.00
Callwait 20 April - 19 May £2.05
TV Size: X L 20 April - 19 May £26.00
1 Add Set Top Box(es) 20 April - 19 May £15.00
V+ HD Box 20 April - 19 May £10.00
Add Set Box(es) Discount 20 April - 19 May -£8.50
Phone, TV & BB Saving 20 April - 19 May -£24.95
Broadband XL(20) 20 April - 19 May £37.00
I know I could call up and get the packages altered, but I thought I'd check with you knowledgeable guys and girls first
, since at first look, it does seem as though I'm getting completely shafted..
Has anyone had a similar scenario? And if it does look as though I've overpaid for the services I'm recieving, could I be looking at some credit? (VM customer since 1998)
Thanks in Advance,
Dave.

VM run their business like a car boot stall. If you don't check current pricing (new customer prices after any introductory offers) and call in if you are paying more you will end up being shafted. There is little chance of any refund as you agreed to a price and although the new customer price is currently less your contract still specifies the old one.
They also use a confusing system of discounts - ignore the discounts and compare bottom lines.
The calculated package probably doesn't include line rental. 30Mbps is actually cheaper than 20Mbps but you have to pay a one off £30 to change. If the package doesn't include line rental you are not being overcharged by much at all - probably just the disfference between 20 and 30.
Call 150 and select "thinking of leaving". Remember politeness will produce a better deal than rudeness.0 -

I'm going to call the cancellation line in December, I know people who have a much better deal than me. I'm on the 10mb broadband and others pay either slightly less or just £2 more but with 20mb more!
