Feedback exortion?

I would be very inclined to accept the £10, refund the difference between it & the return postage & leave the FB as it is.
That way you've had the return p&p covered but haven't taken anything from them.0 -
I'd probably take the money, change the feedback to positive for a couple of days, then, if possible, change it back to negative0

Take the £10 (make sure you have the money first though) and then change the neg to a neutral - 'feedback revised as requested by seller'.
You are keeping your word, they get a revision, and the world gets to see what the seller is really likexx

Ha ha, I am loving all the suggestions here! I haven't replied at all and am not going to accept the money (albeit that it more than covers my extortionate postage charges of £3.83, in answer to the post asking what it cost). Mainly because I have no intention of changing the feedback, it's deserved and I do believe in leaving accurate feedback - after all, I would be annoyed if other people who have bought from her have been similarly messed around and have all left glowing feedback because they've been bribed. I guess my original point was not whether to take the tainted money but how this does not break any eBay policies - how can they condone that kind of thing?0

surely the point of feedback covers all aspects of the transaction including description of item , quality of goods and service if things aren't right , you have not received good service or goods as described then sending rude emails does not , in my books, constitute good service that deserves positive feedback just because someone waves a tenner in your face ,
feedback is there as a guide for all users , if you don't want negative feedback give good service and goods .... simples0 -
Totally agree nickj - what amazes me is that the seller obviously knew she was behaving in a way that would attract negative feedback but instead of making an effort to put it right, she waited to see if I would leave feedback and then tried to buy me off! eBay is rife with such people because they encourage buyers to report bad sellers but then do nothing with the information they receive ....0
