Good afternoon, very quiet here.
I sorted the baskets..that took half hour!!
Popped to the shops to get a pump for the airbed. Came back, hoovered DD's room (she dusted this morning), put the air bed up and put clean bedding on it.
DD's bedding was put in the TD before going to the shops so will sort that in a mo plus the second load that is almost finished.
Lunch is on ...left over pasta bol. for DD and scampi, chips and peas for me.........she is always he healthier....mine is done in the oven though.
Also need to bring the hoover back down here and polish and hoover here............Going to get my list and find some order before lunch..........xx
ETA, list is only 2 posts away, so will just edit that one for now........xx0 -
Got on OK at dentist - I was actually less nervous on my own in the car than when I have Mr LW with me to scrutinise my driving!:o
Managed to park reasonably close, and had time to spare, so I sat and did a spot of Brain Training on the Nintendo DSi, and went in with just a couple of minutes to spare. Half an hour, and quite a lot of poking about, with wax impressions taken and loads of measurements done, later, I escaped, having got my next appointment for 31st October at 14:00.
Mr LW's on leave that day in any case (he has that week off, as he has leave to use up) so no problems with transport that day. I gather that still won't be the end of it though - not sure if it'll be another 1 or 2 appointments; I guess it depends on how well the new plates fit when they arrive.:o
I am, of course, now completely and totally shattered!
I've cleaned the bath where the bath lift goes - we had to take it out for the plumber to see to the shower, and it seemed logical to clean now, rather than lift it out again tomorrow for Mr LW to do it, and I've also done HHYoga, and I'm afraid that's me completely done for! I'm so tired that I actually feel dizzy, which is annoying to say the least.
Mr LW was kind enough to help throw some dins together - beans and fried eggs on toast.:o Not the most exotic of meals, but it filled a gap, and was tasty.:D
Piggers it slipped my mind to say earlier on, well done to DS1 on getting a job.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Piggers great news on DS1 getting a job. Is DD1 still at college? Lots of youngsters here are struggling to find work too.
Everyone is struggling to find work hereso I am really pleased for DS I just hope he doesnt behave like a tool and get fired! Yes DD is still at college.. then she is having a year out supposedly and then going to uni.. she is still on about primary teaching but we shall see.
it is freezing here, i have been asleep all afternoon with the baby and Squeak has been in bed..
Off to collect the grubs now so the can be deposittd at KHs later for the weekend.. and I am spending the weekend sorting christmas presents so I can finish my christmas shopping over the next few weeks.I have a chunk to pay off my credit card as well as a few christmas "too good to miss" bargains were added to that when I was skint.. then I can start fillingup the savings account again as it is looking very bare since buying the washing machine and fridge..
DS1 is collecting the little WM and the chest of drawers from the landing tomorrow so I need to sort those too.Flingage!! He is having the fridgefreezer after the new fridge comes on Wednesday too.. more flingage! He can then sell his hopefully. I am giving him some money to fill his freezer as well.. he has £50 a week off his wages when he starts the job for 4 weeks to pay for his training which he when gets back after 3 months if he is still there .. but he has to work a month in hand so wont be paid for ages

Hi all - HHC at 5 anyone?
I need to degrot the kitchen, sling in some washing, and get tea in (raw beef casserole doesn't sound too good) before DH aka Mr Grumpy gets home. No idea why Fridays equals grumpy but it does
May start on some OCC shoeboxes later - perhaps DS would like to help and be allowed to stay up a short while..?

Hi all,
I haven't caught up with fred so hugs where needed.
I've been having problems with the internet but it's working now finally. :j
My poor shiny new house in a bit of a mess and in danger of descending into CHAOS.There just don't seem to be enough hours in the day at the moment.
I'm going to cook tea now and will see what i can get done whilst it's cooking.0 -
Afternoon All
LW - glad it went ok at dentist.
I too am shattered but dutifully rested my knee this afternoon - infact went to sleep for a couple of hours. This morning was not so good as went to other house and loaded car up and back and knee were very sore at the end.
Nearly had hysterics as was sorting a bag of washing that had been brought from old house and found that a wheat bag (heaty thing) had burst...... then to my horror realised it had not burst but been chewed by a mouse..... I am terrified of rodents and threw whole lot into garden. I really hope mouse not in my new house as bag sat in the hall last night. Emptied out and found dressing gown, t shirt, various socks and a lovely cardigan have all been chewed. Needless to say they have gone in the bin - less to sort out in my wardrobe!!
Still no news about Mum as the MDT meeting report is being typed up and wont be ready until Monday. But had a chat with junior doctor and she mentioned that diabetes is now causing an issue as it is not well controlled and Mum keeps having hypos at night. Actually told them this when I took Mum in 3 weeks ago!!
Right at 5.30 I am going to unload the car as DD has now informed me that she is not coming home until tomorrow if she can find her bank card - she has lost it in her room for the 4th time - I dispair.....
Hope everyone had a good day.November NSD 1/10Weight loss - 7lbs from the 41 I need to loose = 34 to go0 -
OMG Me:eek: I'm not scared of rodents, but I sure as heck don't want to share my home with uninvited ones.:( Y'know, you're having far more than your share of hassle just now; I hope at least some of it lets up soon for you.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

I hope it lets up soon too LW - it has been a tough year but I am nearly through it and still plodding on! There has been some hi-lights and I found out that my wonderful friends are there for me if I can only ask for help. They have really supported me in every way during the year we have cried and laughed together!
I went on a cruise with a school friend in the summer and it was such a laugh - it really felt like I left all the worry and troubles on the runway when we took off and didn't pick it up until we came back. We did things like snorkling that I had never done before - it really was a holiday of a lifetime and even given my limited mobility with dodgy knees and back I had a wonderful time. I have never done a long haul holiday before and dont know if I will again but what memories! Typical example is first time snorkeling - you have to wear floatation aids that tie around the waist and strap goes underneath! They tell you to make the straps tight - year right! Well in my panic about jumping off the back of a boat in the mid ocean ( ok not exactly mid ocean but certainly well off into a bay and about 30 feet deep) . Well I blew up my floatation aid and then managed to get in the water. The aid immediately flew up around my head and I spent the next few minutes desperately trying to deflate the thing much to my friend's amusement! All she could hear was me hyperventilating through the snorkel and air being released through the valve on the aid. She was in hysterics..... hmm

Kitchen looking good, supper for DH & I in slowcooker, DS fed, WM loaded, bins emptied & recycling out.
Just been and disassembled the scarves & hat picture DS made - now need to sort through and CS/bin some and see what we need. In my case it seems right hand gloves as have 3 solitary left hand ones - why me?
