Thats only an 8Kw Charnwood Cove 2 with boiler does 5 double rads with ease, doesnt do hot water though as the hot water is a pressurised system.

Burning household coal is Illegal even if you are in N Ireland, the clean air act 1981 is what you need to read, you will never be able to burn household coal without producing smoke and if you get reported then you will undoubtedby be fined or prosecuted.

Does that included DEFRA approved stoves with the secondary burning of smoke which reduces particulates ?
I thought the DEFRA stoves were designed for smokeless zones, maybe they are just for wood.0 -

I know in the UK you can use a DEFRA approved stove in smokeless zones that are used to burn wood and smokeless fuels but not sure on the bitumenous coal side of things. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -

Hi,
sorry but the site wont let me put the link on because i'm a new user.
Its on Wendronstoves.com, FAQ - how to light a fire, then scroll down to the 2 viseo's and play the Harmony stove video.
Or maybe an older user could post the link for you.

Look at the bottom of the bucket suki...its held together with parcel tape :rotfl:
Coal buckets we had in work were worn through and the boss wouldnt buy new ones so hubby took then home and patched them up with old quality street tins. They lasted another year and would still be in use today if we didnt have a new boss0 -
