Cats still not getting on - is there light at the end of the tunnel?!

I just discovered My Cat From Hell tonight. It's about a cat whisperer who helps problem cats and seems to have good tips. The show is on Animal Planet and is on Sky Anytime at the moment.
It may offer some tips to help Max relax a bit - it sounds like he could be a bit stressed.
Best of luck, they do tend to sort themselves out, eventually.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

Sorry to hear that your breakthrough was only temporary too! Isn't it awful? You get your hopes up and then within hours they are completely dashed.
Max has calmed down since Sunday night when he seemed to be worse than ever and we're back to "normal". Normal is sometimes ignoring her, and now and then chasing her and trying to give her a smack. To be fair he hasn't attacked her properly for the last few days, just a bit of hissing and grumbling and raising his paw in a kind of warning gesture - showing her who is top cat. She now just bows her head down straight away as if to say "ok, ok, I get it, you're the boss!!".
Thankfully she isn't too bothered by all his shows of aggression and carries on with life as normal. Maybe that is why Max feels like he has to keep asserting himself. I'm hoping he'll get bored of it all eventually and just get on with his life!
My cat from hell certainly sounds about right! I will check out the website and try and catch in on tv - sounds like it could be helpful and I'll try anything at this point!0
