    The desktop icon is the install prog, can you tell me how I can put a WD home icon onto my desktop?

    Find it in Start/All Programs, right click & hold the button down & drag the icon onto the desktop. Choose 'copy here' or 'create shortcut here' rather than 'move here' or you'll 'lose' the original icon. You can delete the installation program now if you want - it's just taking up space.
