when i power up my phone the screen is all distorted black lines and sometimes what looks like chinese writing occasionally it will start properly then revert back to funny writing any ideas anyone

    used to do loads of these but not seen one for a couple of years.
    from what i remember you can change the screen without changing the ribbon, just remove the small screws and remove the outer flip plastic to get to the screens - make sure you buy both screens as an assembley as its very hard to replace one on own.
    i think you need to resolder the vibra and speaker to the new pcb.
    if you need to replace the ribbon then you need to completly strip phone and remove the hinge
