Tesco glitch on Uncle Ben's rice/risotto, Free!

Seems very store specific because have 2 stores about 1 mile apart, went into 1 and it worked out to be 2 for £2 so thought id try the other store because still a good offer. This time it worked with £2.52 coming off twice, they only had 4 Risotto, so thought id try the other rices, can confirm these also work but they cost around £1.74 each and it takes off discount of 2 x £1.48 meaning you pay 52p for 2 packs of rice, still not bad. Will like to see if this works in extra because rather get paid to take the risotto

Worked in Swansea. St Helen's Rd, Uplands not any of the others in Swansea.

I also found if i bought more than 2 at a time you paid an extra pound rather than them being free....

Works best with 1 risotto @ £2.26 and 1 rice @ £1.74 = Free!

Hi I got 2 of the golden veg rice took to normal till, and it took off the discount twice hence 56p for the two. I then went back and got 2 pilau rice and 2 mushroom took to self scanner till and only the 2 for £2 worked. Went back for 2 more golden vegtable at normal manned till discount came off twice again. I assume it was because it only worked on the golden veg rice rather than the type of till but didnt dare go in again and try a different combination as the sercurity man had already smiled and said "forgotten something else" when I kept going back in!

My Mum bought 12 of the express basmati rice in Spr1ngh1ll, Bangor on Thursday and only just checked her reciept after reading this and she got 3 discounts!!!
For every 4 she bought it discounted the following-
juicy 2 for £3 - 0.72
rice buy 1 get 1 free - 3.68
rice buy 2 get 2 free - 3.68
so Mr T's paid her £2.88 to take 12 pack away!!
She said at the time it was weird cause she'd got 3 of the £4 off £20 spend vouchers (given out at Bloomfields branch to encourage us to use the springhill one while it was being refurbed) and therefore had split her shopping up into lots of £20 but the one with the rice never seemed to get anywhere near the £20. I did wonder why she got me to get so many rice for her, I just thought it was cause it was on offer and never thought it would be a glitch.

This has now taught her to check her discounts as she may have got a better bargain than she thought, and also for me to ask why she needs so many of something.

Only 3! I got 2 originally then chanced my arm last Sunday and they were just sitting there all alone at the CS desk so got 10 more. I managed to use every single one of them which is scary but it was done by buying stuff that Asda had deals on thus buying in Ts got me up to the £20 for the £4 off then a JTD against Asda.

I can't believe I looked at the rice but decided against it as I'd gotten some for 49p in M&S a couple of weeks ago and my cupboards are ready to explode as it is!

Galaxy working though

smarties/milky buttons - initially forgot to check receipt as too excited getting another 2 bars galaxy - got back to car to find 2 for £4 not given. Bought 2 bags smarties & 2 bags buttons. Mgr offered me £2.40 refund... he said dtd only in big stores... I mentioned corporate policy etc and received £4.80 back, making it £2.80 for 2!

Sons party bags sorted!

Checked my local express store this morning, shelf was completely cleared and risotto ticket removed!:mad:
