I wondered about the Express Rice, especially as I also have a 'till spit' coupon for it, but didn't risk it!

You could have given more information in your post OP.

I was just stood in Tesco for ages like a pleb waiting for my slow-arsed phone to load two pages just to find that actually it's in Express.

    how rude!

how did you find out about the offer in the first place?

If you were in Tesco's anyway, and thought you would have a cheeky look at MSE before heading to the checkouts, you could have 1) just scanned two at the checkout to see what happened 2) used the self serve tils 3) used the self scan price checkers, or 4 (my favourite), headed to electrical and logged on to mse from a display laptop (although admittedly it doesnt work all the time)

If you were at home, and saw this offer, couldnt you just note down the details on a piece of paper?

I don't think it's the OP's fault that you have a rubbish browser/internet connnection on your phone

Well thats me missing out, the manager of our local Mr T's checks this MSE forum everyday and as soon as he notices the glitches he clears the shelves, not fair .
No Terrys Oranges, pasta, galaxy chocolate on the shelfs at all. Spoil sport !, this started with the Honey Nut Shreddies, there were none on the shelf at all, when I asked one of the staff (who I know personally) I was told that there were some out back but they were told not to stack them till the Tuesday when the offer ended and they went back to full price. Now it appears he's doing the same with everything that pops up on this forum, unless I can rush out quickly and beat him to it. Its nearly an 40 min drive to the other Mr T's so not worth going with the cost of petrol.

Possible supports my theory on another thread that individual stores can't always overide the central system when a glitch appears. It has to be reported back to HQ for the computer system to be altered.
    Awaiting a new sig
  • Didn't work in Yiewsley store - a different offer on there too!! Which according to the SEL's run's until 20/10/11. :(
It only takes a moment to say a Thank-You, which goes a long way! :D

Sorry, wanted to get it on quickly as its a Sunday and stores close early, next time I will wait for you to post the way you like it done.

    Don't be so ungrateful.

Sorry, not ungrateful but it takes seconds to write "express" in the title.

Long term forum user on a new account, and i've always seen the boards work best with informative thread titles. No need to be tetchy is there?

Was looking for info on kids toys at the time, noticed this thread on front page. Stood at rice wondering why it was 5 for £4 in my store. Would have just saved that bit of time if Express was noted in the title? Same as it would have saved time/clicks at home on the laptop tbh.

Pretty sure my post wasn't rude.

PS. See my other thread: "Food item only 2p in supermarket" ;):p
