Internet access without a phone line?

Hello guys,

Is it possible to get internet access without having a phone line? We have a wireless laptop and phone socket but don't want to get a land line fitted as this is unnecessary expense. Any suggestions? I know 02 and BT have similar services but I don't think we have a reciever near us.
