I received the £89 one for Christmas & it's perfect! I would recommend getting a case for it - got mine from tesco for about a tenner (was half price when you bought the kindle) - a lovely hot pink one
I haven't missed a keyboard - I tend to "send" books to my kindle from the amazon website on my laptop.Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

I have the keyboard one and have only used the keyboard once, the week I got it. Searching for books on Amazon with it is soooooo unbelievably slow its untrue. Find it far easier to do it on the PC. You don't need it to read books although if you like to annotate your books I can see it being useful.
I got a thick neoprene case from an Amazon seller named Cellapod who supplied and shipped for £2.90. Its survived a year of constant abuse with no detrimental effects.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Just a thought - I have the keyboard version for the 3G as I don't have a WiFi connection/broadband at home, just a dongleSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0

Thanks tomtombeanie & moo2moo - i must admit to being a bit undecided about them previously
but after hearing all the positives from people - especially being able to take it away and so much more light weight than a few books too then i've been won over
Plus of course the ability to store hundreds of books without having a library for them
There are of course some books i'll keep forever stillbut i guess thats the same for alot of people.
And thanks for the advice on the case - as its the cheaper kindle £89 as opposed to the circa £150 one i'll double check if they're getting me a case with it and if not i'll buy one which will be suitably girly whilst being unbelieveably stylish:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Quick calculation post:
Cost of cinema pass - £118.79 thanks to the Wonders/Kindness Of MSE Peeps
Equivalent monthly cost - £9.90
Normal cost of ticket - £8.30 (:eek::eek:)
So I need to see 15 films this year to make the pass worth the initial cost. I've already seen two

This has now changed to:
Balance - £186.78
Available to pay it off - £59.63
Still to find - £127.15
At least it's improved a little :rotfl:
I got a leaflet through the door from my local(ish) Te$co which has just started doing Click and Collect. It had an offer for £10 off when you spend £50, so I did an online order yesterday to be collected on Monday. From this, £24 is coming from my Second Purse, and £18.09 from my actual food purse. I'm getting my head around this system now and it seems to be working quite well for me. I just need to update my spreadsheet today in advanceof the Tesco stuff arriving (or me collecting it I suppose!!)0 -

Hi f_f. A pseudo forum has been discovered which basically has lifted lots of threads from this forum. I noticed one of yours here. Reports have been sent to the main site bods, but no response has been made yet. A suggestion of tweeting Martin has been made, but the ones discussing it don't use Twitter! Just thought I'd let you know and bring it to the attention of others. One step at a time0
