I succumbed to Chinese for dinner last night which is bad for both my bank account and my waistlineI will do better for the rest of the week, honest
Today I'm off to Asda with a £40 giftcard + vouchers totalling £8.50 off when I spend £40. I'm going to make a list and, in the spirit of the season, check it twiceI have cleared out a cupboard in the kitchen which is going to be my special offer storecupboard and I'm starting to stock up for January now. Hopefully I'll get a good deal on the things I buy!

Today's shop at Asda went thusly:
Total cost at checkout: £57.13
Asda £5 off voucher: -£5.00
Asda guarantee voucher: -£3.84
Total due: £47.93
I paid with a £40 giftcard which cost me £36.40 and the rest in cash, so I got £57.13 worth of shopping and paid £44.33 :j :j :j
I now have £7 left for food until payday on Friday, but think that we should be fine. I'm going to buy a ham shank this afternoon, so my lunches will be pea and ham soup [strike]until Doomsday[/strike] all week.0 -

hello! i know i don't ever have much to say
, but i love keeping up with your diary. well done on your nearly 3 stone loss so far!
quick question for you - which kindle did you buy in the end - one has a keyboard & one doesn't and i don't know which i "need" (mr ttb is thinking xmas pressie) - we have wi-fi at home & anywhere i go to stay would have wi-fi as well - i read back through your old diary when you made the purchase and you had the same dilemma as me but not sure how you resolved it in the end
back to x factor final now:o

I ended up buying the WiFi one with the keyboard, but only because the one without wasn't around when I bought mine! I don't think you would really need a keyboard to be honest, I barely use the one on mine. I buy all my books on my laptop on Amazon and don't really use the Kindle to surf for them. For the extra money you could buy loads of books too :rotfl:

thank you! you confirmed what i kind of suspected - have just ordered (on his behalf!) from tesco direct via quidco (5% c/b) a normal wi-fi kindle and a pink case
i will have to wait until xmas day to get my hands on it, though. i don't mind not having a surprise, but i would be sad with nothing to unwrap...
