If you are a private seller then send them the ebay sale page and also the page where you made the paypal refund along with your proof of postage showing the address of the buyer as stamped or issued by the Post office.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Take copies of paperwork before you send off the claim. It is not unknown for them to get lost!0

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. I was told by the Post office staff not to hear from them for 30 days at least

They go out of their way to prevent payment. It's even worse if you are selling items you have obtained from a supplier as they want the invoice!
What business would supply whom they get the item from and at what price.
Try that in boots pick up a few items go to the desk and say what did you buy these for and from whom!!
I'm looking for an Another postal service . :mad:0 -

I think you misunderstand. As a business we should not expect Royal Mail to cover our profits, only our losses. It is therefore in order that they pay us our purchase price, which is our actual loss, rather than the sale price, which is our profit.
Sometimes business are paid out as though they were private sellers, they just slip through the net, but many do have to follow the business rules for reimbursement. You do also, of course get to write off the rest of the loss against your net profit if you do basic accounts.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I believe the limit for a Royal Mail claim is 6 months- but you might want to double check that as I think it changed recently.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
