    Hi Susan,

its really sad that Alan had to pass, but i guess his time was up. I know we will all miss such a kind, caring man that he was but at least the suffering is over and he will be your guardian angel now.

I know words cant ever replace him, but the memories will never fade and he is now at peace.

    love and hugs

    speak soon

    Andy xxxx

ps, did you manage to get any whoopsies at Tosco? :0)

I lit a virtual candle, for my virtual friend, for Alan.

Others have joined and also lit candles. Tagged "mse" if anyone else wants to do so:

I remember my brother dying at 24 the pain and the loss is absolutely agony and numbing at the same time. You had a wonderful love that some people will never find and I hope that that might give you a grain of comfort. Please take the support offered by friends as it will help you, to laugh, cry, remember, everything that you need to do in grief. My thoughts are with you today as you think about your precious husband... much love and best wishes to you... and rip.. Alan, you sounded a lovely person ....xx

The guys left it for me to post the news as they thought it only right, but my Alan passed away peacefully in my arms at 8pm this evening. He had been getting worse and a little restless, due to lying in the same place all day. When I told the nurses I thought that they would move him around a bit and up his meds again, but, although they straightened him up and made him more comfortable, they didn't need to give him anything else. The nurse told me that he was very near his time. My friend Jenny had been with me since 5.15pm said she would go home to feed her OH and then come back if I needed her. This was at 7.30pm and then, with just the two of us there, I talked and talked and sang and sang to Alan, telling him of all the people sending him good wishes and praying for him, of how I was going to be ok and that Kit and the boy were going to look after me as they'd promised him. The whites of his eyes were very yellow by then and he was very weak, and I couldn't get a kiss out of him anymore but I did get a little response to certain words. His breathing was laboured but he wan't in any pain. His breathing got slower and then he just slipped away peacefully

After saying my goodbyes and texting family and friends, I went to speak to the nurses who told me that as he wanted to be cremated, 2 doctors would have to sign the death certificate and that would be done tomorrow afternoon, so I am to ring the office late tomorrow afternoon to check if that is done

I left, with the nurses keep asking me if I was ok on my own, and came home. How sad is this ...... I went to Tosco on my way home to get some pepsi max for my whisky :o I have just spoken to Kit and Steve who are angels and am off to bed now

Thank you so much for all the support you have given to me and Alan. Can't say much more right now, except that it did help :A

    Goodnight friends :A

I really dont know what to say apart from he's now out of pain and with the angels looking down at you..

He will always be with you in spirit...

I feel I must tell you a little story which makes me believe that they never leave us in spirit.

I was very very close to a particular woman who I called my 2nd Mother and she called me her adopted daughter.. She was a heck of a character and used to love being mischievous.
She gave me a Clogau Gold Cross necklace about a year before she died and Ive never taken it off my neck since..
Every year, the anniversary of her death, which is now 3 years last April, within a week or so after her anniversary my necklace breaks..

1st year, Id got her flowers but couldnt make myself go to her grave, so both my daughters took them.. (my necklace broke)

2nd year, My daughter had arranged a sponsored walk to raise money for the hospital that treated my father.. We spoke about her during the walk, but didnt have time to go to the graveyard.. (my necklace broke)

3rd year, (this year) I went to her grave side with a huge bunch of flowers... preaching at her to pack it in, saying that I was there on her anniversary and not to play merry hell with my necklace this year (Luckily there was not anyone else visiting another grave, or they really would have thought I was going off my rockers)... Lo and behold..... yep, it broke again..

Im not one to believe in things like this, but since this is happening to me every year... There is absolutely no explanation, apart that she's playing merry hell with me.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Susan, I hope that put a smile on your face, you will never be alone love...

With my very deepest Sympathy xxxxxxxxxxxxhugsxxxxxxxxxxx
