So grateful for this thread and for aesop's updates, I'm abroad on my hols at the mo and was so worried when I left on Thurs that I wouldn't be able to keep up on the elite thread and trawl through all the posts to see how 3dogs and Mr3dogs were getting on.
Love to you both, so lovely that you have so many loving people around you, will be thinking of you xxx

Have lurked around your threads for some time, with the occasional post, and saw when Alan was diagnosed but didn't want to intrude.

So sorry that things have taken this sort of turn so quickly but really happy that you are getting lots of support on here and in real life. Sending you and Mr 3Dogs lots of hugs and positive thoughts (as I do to Mandy & Nick).

:T to Aesop & Savingwannabee for keeping everyone updated. Poor 3Dogs has so much on her plate posting here is the last thing she needs.

Susan i am packing knickers as we speak - Steve's union jack one's. We cant wait to see you both and pinch some of Alan's icecream and chips. Anne sounded great and am so glad she is there. You both sound so much better. Hoooray. Steve has promised Alan a bedbath Andy and I will dance the hula. Am bringing Marigolds and will do anything to help. I can do ironing now. I sat on steve's clothes and they are ironed. Cool.

Packing knickers will wake up early. Can't wait to see you both. We have to all sleep early tonight so we will be up early. LOVE you!!!!!!!!

Snogs from the boys. We were so happy to speak to you hooray.

I'm sure all three of you will be a tonic for both Susan and Alan and will help Susan relax a bit and take care of herself.

Wonders about sitting on my own ironing, worth a try :D

Kind regards to both Susan and Alan.

SW, you and the boys will be a fantastic tonic for both Alan and Susan (the hospital won't know what has hit them :rotfl:)

Hope the car can carry the heavy load of all our hugs that you will be carrying for us though :D

    Savingwannabe - is that kit!?

    P.s Hope someone remembers me!

    yep, SW is Kit,

and I remember you Vix, just couldn't remember your MSE name....:o :rotfl: that is why I told you about Alan :) Because I remember all those nights you and Ted used to post, and it was great. Then you told us about your new job, your dream job, and since then have followed you on FB :) and you seem really happy.

Not stepping on Beanie's toes, and Susan may post later, but a quick update

Alan has been given a better room facing the courtyard. He is more comfortable today. He's been giving Susan, some lip so she thinks he must be feeling better. :p;)

He is drinking well, and eating a little. He has other friends visiting him today as well, and Susan and her sister went to see him at lunchtime and then this evening.

Susan sounds so much happier, I am so glad her sister is staying with her, and once Kit and Steve and Andy are there tomorrow, it will be great :) Alan will be over the moon to see them.
