My 'stash' is dotted around the house as I have nowhere to store it properly, unlike Steve who has a great storecupboard stash ;)

Weve now had to store stuff in the bedroom aswell., I.e 66 bars of chocolates, 48 cans of coke, 9 tubs of pringles. 6 bottles of cider, & loads of booze. Oh & still got 1 easter egg to eat. :rotfl::rotfl: then today i got 8 boxes of christmas cards at 50p a box.. :D:money:

Well I've had the doggies out for their walk,a dn the postie has been, bringing my ESA cheque, so it is still being paid by cheque and not direct to my bank  . Going to have to go into town now to cash the cheque and pay money into my bank to cover direct debits due out on Tuesday - what a nuisance   Mind you, I have to go out anyway to pick up my prescription which isn't ready until after 2 pm, but now I have to go into the town centre too :(

can you call them and find out why they are still paying by cheque? it is costing them more administratively doing it that way, then paying you directly by bacs.

I was going to ring them next week but after seeing your message, I rang them when I got back from town - on hold for 26 minutes so it's a good job we have 0845 number free with BT   She said it was probably because they didn't have my bank details. I said I'd been told that it would be paid in the same way as my Incap Benefit had been paid, so she checked and it seemed that someone hadn't 'clicked a box or something'  so she confirmed my bank details and said that next payment will be paid my BACS into my account

Well, at least that's sorted now, I hope

I can't believe how lackadaisical people have become! They just do not care this is people's income and they rely on it and cheques are no good!

we were never like this when I worked there and I am so glad we weren't!!!!

at least it has been sorted now and thank goodness for free bt calls.....

I used to have all the direct dial numbers but lost contact with the people I worked with, so wouldn't have been able to help.
