Hi
Would appreciate some expert advice. Moving house this week. Checked what bb we can get
ADSL available at ~2MbpsBT Total broadband
TalkTalk non-LLU
Sky Connect (non-LLU)
AOL broadband (non-LLU)
Pipex broadband
Plusnet broadband
Tiscali broadband
And many more...
Cable services available
Virgin Media broadband (20M)
Virgin Media digital TV
Virgin Media phone
I work from home, we watch some online tv, upload/doanload videos, would want to include phone but not tv. I was thinking of going with VM 50mb but don't see a lot of positive feedback about VM and its more expensive. Or should we go with adsl - what does non LLU mean - is it better. As it says around 2mbps is this the fastest speed we should go for as most are advertised at 20 or more mbps but surely if the line can't handle more than 2 its a waste of time paying for a higher mbps? So maybe cable is better?
Thanks

If you want a fast service then it appears that your only option is VM cable. ADSL will only support around 2Mbps. You don't pay more for a higher speed on ADSL generally-you get what the line can support. You can go for a cheaper cable than the 50MBps tariff though.
Your LLU options are nil it would seem.
Non-LLU services are just resold BT Wholesale ones.No free lunch, and no free laptop
