any one know how this works at the moment, i am on dial up because of sky, anyway my laptop is picking up broadband but only in one particular spot. on dining room table, if i move it an inch it disappears how does this happen how could i improve it if i can?

Chances are that this is one of your neighbours wireless networks that they haven't secured properly.
If you use this knowingly, it's theft of bandwidth. You can be arrested and charged for this.
For this reason, I don't recommend you use it.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
