A way to avoid council tax?

HI am living in Scotland and don't want to pay council tax of £1086 per year. How to avoid it?

Having a student in the house doesn't automatically get you a discount, as it's based on the number of adults. If you had 2 adults and a student you pay full price, but 1 adult & 1 student pays 75% and all students pays nothing.
