A way to avoid council tax?

HI am living in Scotland and don't want to pay council tax of £1086 per year. How to avoid it?

    i think students get exmptions or discounts from council tax other that i havent heard of ways of avoiding council tax

    Rent out every other room in your house to lodgers. If you manage to get, say, 10 people living there then you'd only be paying £108.60 each a year (plus think of all that rental income).

    lucky you, I live in Scotland and have to pay £2150 couuncil tax. If you find a way, let me know....

    If you live alone or have a student in the household you are entitled to a discount and should let the council know.
    The reason people don't move right down inside the carriage is that there's nothing to hold onto when you're in the middle.

    Believe those mentally unfit are exempt !
