I totally support any change which prevents posts about Tesco dominating the first gazillion pages of the Grabbit board, to the exclusion of anything else.

went to St+ck+on extra this morning on my way out and noticed a single Lumie Clear on the clearance shelves in the beauty/cosmetics etc aisles. SEL £15.27 with a star in the corner. Thought to myself it's no good to me as it's many many years since I had acne or anyone I know so left it thinking it would go quickly. Called back in tonight on the way back home and noticed it was still there(at 7:30). Couldn't believe it had been overlooked but on the other hand I don't know how effective these things are and perhaps they are being discontinued for a good reason i'e they are a waste of money!

Next to it was a Nicky Clark hairdryer with no SEL. Bargain I thought so went off the get it checked but it wasn't on the system so I was told I couldn't buy it

    Stckon Extra?

What on earth is that meant to mean? Stick - on?

Stockton Extra. If it's a store you'd visit then you'd know that. If not then it doesn't matter :p

Come on let's get real. In a few weeks grabbit will cease to be tescos board and will suddenly become boots board again
    This happens

Get over it and grab those bargains.

and in what way is tidying up the boards (and making Grabbit the extremely useful place it used to be several years ago before the explosion of Tesco grocery threads) 'acting inappropriately' exactly?

While I agree it could be seen as "tidying" up the board, what is happening (the collating of all the seperate Tesco grabbits into one big thread) just seem to be the reverse of what happened to the Boots thread.
There was a great Boots thread with lots of advice and camaraderie and AIUI Martin decided that it was not fair for lurkers and non forum regulars (and those who couldn't be bothered) to have to read through all the posts and wanted each grabbit to have a seperate thread. As I recall it was not well received by those who had done the graft finding and posting the deals and they went off to form another forum.
That aside, the fact is that it was deemed appropriate then for all the Boots deals to be posted seperately to help newbies and those who didn't want to read the whole thread.

What has changed that makes it now appropriate to shove all the Tesco deals together?

    It's only a game

  • Wow - didn't take this one long to deteriorate!:(

For my two pennorth most op's are trying to be helpful, friendly and genuinely trying to do their best - just like this forum is intended. Can common sense please prevail and get back to something like:T
Most of us know what happened to the Boots thread.
