I think it's a good idea in theory but it's going to be very time consuming to administer. Keeping all the bargains in one thread and all the chat in another.
I seem to recall they tried it on the misprices thread once. Needless to say it failed. I avoid it now as the chances of finding something usable amongst all the chat is unlikely. Certainly in my local.

I think they do but, mega bargains that are likely to disappear quickly have always been posted on 'Grabbit while you can' and long may it continue.:)

If you paid a subscription to use this forum then I agree that you should be involved in discussions and agreements as to how it is run.

However you don't, it is a FREE forum and therefore users do not need to be consulted about any aspect of running it.

may be a bit daft but is it possible to have a shared online document that people can add to if a forum member, so that when someone find a mega huge discount in tesco they want to tell everyone on here about, they can go to the big shared file, put in the product, category, price, date, barcode, store location etc then it is all in one place, can be sorted by category, date etc and everyone then has everything in front of them and don't have to sift through masses of discussion about it all
probably a silly idea that couldn't be managed...
