How do I get Pipex to stop sending me bills!

Tried to cancel Pipex broadband back in July but was told I couldn't give notice when I wanted to and had to phone back on the day I no longer wanted the service.

Called again 2 weeks later and was told by someone else that was wrong and I'd been misinformed. She had a word with her supervisor and they applied a credit to my bill and put an immediate cancellation on the service (as a goodwill gesture because of the hassle I'd had) which meant (in theory!) I would have nothing further to do with Pipex from that moment on.

This is Oct and I'm still getting bills and still having to phone them.

The girl last time said the info is all on my account but the there seems to be an issue with the cancellation dept.

There are loads of people all over the net having the same issue with Pipex and when I told the girl this, she denied there were any problems and my case was just a glitch. Absolute rubbish.

How on earth do I get them to stop? I'm so annoyed I want to stand outside with a big banner telling everyone how bad Pipex is! :(

It's just occurred to me, they might even be marking me down as a non payer on my credit file. :(

This saga goes from bad to worse.

Pipex still haven't cancelled my account even although the last time I phoned, they agreed it's all on the system and can see it should have been cancelled.

I now have a 'LETTER BEFORE ACTION' and I have to pay the outstanding balance within 7 days or it goes to an external debt collection agency.

I've tried phoning but they are in the process of migating data over to TalkTalk and cannot access accounts. Nor can they accept payment. I've been told to call back on the 29th when it should all be finished, then they told me someone would call me back in 48 hours. I asked what number they were going to call me back on, they gave me the number that doesn't even exist anymore. It's a complete farce.

Even the automated payment line doesn't work. I can't log into my old account online either as my old details have been removed.

I've complained to Ofcom this morning but that's not going to stop Pipex from trashing my carefully guarded credit rating. They advised me to consider paying the balance then reclaiming it back, simply to avoid my credit rating being affected but I can't do that because their systems are down.

I'm am so furious that right now, I would cheerfully turn into 'Ms Angry' from 'wherever' and do things that would probably get me jailed.

Stop telephoning it is a waste of time.
Google Pipex code of practice and start a complaint.
Keep copies until it gets sorted.
