Changed my ISP but still get BT ?

I changed from Bt phone & BB to Plusnet, everything has gone according to plans.
However, I still can access BT and any old E mail messages from people I don't want to inform of my new Address, why is this?
I know that BT own Plusnet and BT assure me I am not being charged for this, but surely you can't have 2 ISP's ..can you??

Do you mean you can still log ino your '@btinternet.com' account ?, it and the email account attached to it could remain for active ages, or may be removed quickly, there doesnt seem to be a set time,
If you are only getting a bill from Plusnet then why worry, it would be an avantage (normally) to be alble to check for emails on your old email address for a while after changing ISP's,
When you log in, try looking at the 'my account' to see the status, they may move you onto a pay as you go account, where normally you would have to log in via dail up (and via a 0844 number or similar) every 90 days ( or something like that ) to keep the account live, but logging in via your current ISP seems to keep the account live (for a while at least)0 -
Being able to log into your BT email account does not mean that BT are still your ISP.No free lunch, and no free laptop
