Did he actually get the money there and then or was it stalling tactics by the bank, in which case would he have to pay again for another warrant of execution to get the money????

This has made me think again about the advice of giving the banks registered address for the court stage. It is good advice to do this for court claims, but seeing as it is very big companies we are talking about, I think that putting your local branch as the address in the court papers could have an advantage if you want a chance to see the bailiffs in action.

The address you put on the court papers is the address that the bailiffs will go to if it gets to that stage. Because this is banks, for sure there is enough property in the branch the bailiffs could seize.

I'm thinking that your local branch would be as good as putting the banks registered address for the claim.
i think this is a good idea. i like the thought of being able to do this. i can picture the scene as described in saturdays daily mail.... ''as debt collectors seized four computers, two fax machines and a till filled with cash''. just imagine how embarrassed the local manager must have been. lol!

He had obviously got judgement and they were messing him about.

I considered it once but instead issued papers on one of the VP's to attend a hearing in which he had to provide documents for the previous 3 years accounts.
