Please think of others before buying fireworks or go to an organised charity display.
They seem to go on for weeks these days and many pets including my own spend whole evenings being terrified in their own homes.
The Telegraph ran an article that contained the following....
"The Royal College of Optometrists claims that 10 people a year lose their sight through fireworks, and in 2005 (the last year in which statistics were recorded) and the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents found that almost 1,000 people were injured by fireworks.

enjoy your fireworks as in northern ireland you arnt allowed to buy any without a licence , which i think should be the same in england/scotland/ wales
but seriously enjoy bonfire night and please be safe*I Love My Stash*Pedro's is getting so big he has his own pen0 -
I hate fireworks, always have done, not my cup of tea at all.
Saying that, if people do like them, then let them buy them without a lecture! And calling the OP irresponsible for posting this thread is ridiculous. Just because you don't enjoy them doesn't mean no one else can!
As long as people are safe and follow the instructions, they can have a safe enjoyable evening and lots of fun for the kids.0 -
Try living in a thatched house and see how much you look forward to this time of the year!0

I have to agree. How many more entirely avoidable accidents this year resulting in an eye lost, permanent scars, some deaths?
It is very irresponsible for the OP to promote the sale of fireworks in this way, many will end up being bought and used by kids.
Beep beep all aboard the offended bus. If fireworks are used responsibly then they are great to watch.
I do hope you have not posted any MSE deals on cheap drink in the past. That would be very irresponsible to promote the sale of cheap drink in this way, many will end up being bought and used by kids. How many entirely avoidable deaths will result from that?
The post from the OP was far from irresponsible. Too many posters getting their firecrackers in a twist.0 -

No sorry, without meaning to be rude your pets not liking them is your problem not societies. I agree to an extent if you're doing a decent display in your garden to let your neighbours know in advance but if it's legal then tough titty in my book.
Yeah wow 10 people lose their eyesight through fireworks, 150 people lose their LIFE due to coconuts each year.
There are about 74,000 accidents each year between Deers and cars some fatal.
In the Us 10 people die each year from inhaling gas from manure plants

Why o why do people see a firework thread and have to post negative stuff about them and about how their pets suffer etc etc0 -
I love fireworks !!!!!! - but i wouldn't buy them from a supermarket0

The OP has done exactly what is expected of site members by posting a good deal on things that some people wish to buy. It's no more irresponsible than posting a deal on alcohol which could also be "bought and used by kids".
In both cases the sale would be illegal but that's hardly the OP's fault. Can I help?0 -
Is the voucher in the papers in their everyday, as i tried looking today and couldnt find it0
