so just to clarify, are people depositing 800 in october regardless of it being before the switching service has completed?

I called them last Thursday to do the switch online including giving them my mobile number for text alerts. Haven't got anything in text yet, whereas some of you got one to say they've contacted your old bank?

Just got an email from co-op telling me I need to switch online before the 31st to qualify for the £200, but if I've already done it online to ignore this email. I didn't do it online, but over the phone, and not heard anything. Don't want to do it twice and screw up the switch (and perhaps have one work one not go through), but don't want to miss out on the incentive.

I've set up an SO to pay £800/month into the account on the 28th, so yes, I'll be paying into the account this month.
Does your bank send £800 SOs by FP? If not, then your payment will arrive next Tuesday 1st November.

Additionally, have you considered the impact weekends and/or Xmas will have on your funding between now and the £200 payment date?

Considering they asked for the date I wanted to the payment to arrive (not leave) they assumably already worked this out.

Faster Payments made today - £800+. No problems, and arrived quickly.

Decent banks allow this without problem. Then there's Santander - nuff said.
  • Ok, account number etc arrived today. I called them, after some confusion at their end finally got the internet banking set up. Prior to this, requested the switching of SO and DD - you don't need the internet banking part to do this. Also spoke to someone about the 800 transfer, it's per calendar month, so if your account is active in October then you need to transfer 800 before the end of Oct. They are part of the fast banking scheme so as long as your other account is on the same scheme then a transfer should be done in 2 hours.

Well just phoned them and they said it had gone through today and would be eligible for the £200. Though still haven't got any texts....

The co_op told me that the clock didn't start until the switch had actually been completed. Have other people been told this?
