There's still 18 hours to go on that one, but it would put me off that it's missing so much glass. If yours has all the glass, as a potential buyer I'd be much more interested!

I know they're very expensive new, ours was c. £2.5k several year ago.

    Good luck with selling it.

Is there a "best time" for selling greenhouses? I was wondering whether I should advertise now, or maybe November, or wait till January. I know I always started using it in February after starting things off inside the house.

We used, for 12/15 years, to grow about 15000 bedding plants and perennials every year to sell for various charities, but since we retired we have stopped that, it is incompatible with being away on long holidays!

Have tried to give the greenhouse to our son and wife, but they are not really that interested. We have loads of cold frames too, they have taken some of them. That will be our next job....dismantling them, cleaning them, and seeing if we can sell them. We have lots of staging too. I can see it will take a couple of years to sort though it all!

    I've been Money Tipped!
    .

i had been hoping for rather more than £100 as they were quite expensive, but I suppose the market is limited, and second hand stuff does not seem to fetch much. A brand new one seems to be in the region of £2000!!!
    .

exactly...I'm waiting for a bargain that will be worth the petrol to collect (second hand rarely includes delivery but can often be bargained on new big purchases) and frankly....if I could afford new for this then I'd buy new...I would also be realising I'd be spending time in most cases dismantaling, then reerecting and disinfecting. As a seller you are saved fuss and cost (if relevant) of disposal and enough money for a good night out or two....:) You might get a little more, I hope for your sake you do. A good quality green house second hand is worth something to me, but any greenhouse is worth something to thise that are looking second hand, the really good quality is a bonus, not essential spend for many people in my position. :)

The fact that you have already dismantled it will make it more saleable. Alton greenhouses don't often come up for sale and so I'm sure you will get more for it than has been suggested

    Wow!! It went for £461.

I was thinking £500 would be reasonable if all the bits were there.
