Car Insurance - Postcode change - goes up ??

    1 - 'probably' isn't fact. So it could be recent
    2 - it's not from an insurance company
    3 - you just waffled to try and convince people you were right on 1 and 2

    1) It is definitely not recent as there are no products currently in the market for standard private car with such a simplistic rating structure. Also, as mentioned above, most car insurers also now use some form of socio-economic factor which is also driven by postcode but is normally gathered from a separate rating table. The are often other rating factors which are included by matrix - eg age by postcode, vehicle by postcode - which cannot be calculated from a smple one-way table.

    2) It is from an insurance company - it's an Aviva motorcycle postcode file from years ago - ask the brokers on here! Why else do you think it stipulates garaging terms and is peppered with the comment "Refer to insurer"???!?
