tesco is rubbish though, and always puts items through as N/A which i thought would give me money back

well at least it comes up on the list, just give tesco a call and tell them it came up wrongly as N/A and they will normaly send you a gift card for the differance. I've told them about "Old El Paso Enchilada Dinner Kit 663G" many times since march but they just do get around to fixing the problem, so got a few gift cards form that which some of the time they round up.
I did a shop at asda yesterday should have worked out £3.20 cheaper than tesco + £5 off £40 spend. 4 items have vanished from the list on the asda price guarantee
do NOT buy: heroes 350g, fruit pastilles 600g, quality street 400g OR roses 350g at asda as part of a everything cheaper at tesco shop for asda price guarantee voucher as do not show up on the list (not even listed as N/A)
I was going to get a bonus £5 off £40 spend for spending £40+ but my list is at £39.88 due to the items they removed (which should be 79p less than tesco after APG)
I now have the nightmare task of contacting APG customer care which based on past experance will be a total waste of my time and i'll have to end up returning the shop and redo without the vanished items plus add a tin of another tin of smart price beans and sausages to just put me over the £40 spend to get £5 off next £40 spend.
19 times out of 20 tesco customer care line are just so easy to deal with and will fix the problem.0 -
Also Asda does not have a loyalty card. In Sainsburys I get double nectar points because I have a Nectar Amex card and pet insurance so its 4 nectar points per £1. Plus odd weeks you can get till spits for conditional spends, MOCs or bonus points offers.
Ok there will never be enough nectar points for a cruise (but there again thats just about impossible with Tesco clubcard as well now) But I always have a good point balance anyway for small treats
Who do you think pays for the loyalty card points to be given? Who pays for the storage of all your information and for the maintenance of your account, for the extra printing on till receipt rolls etc...
I'm not saying that getting loyalty points isn't a nice thing, but it's paid for by you when you shop there and there is a complexity about running a loyalty scheme, about managing it, keeping the data secure and stuff. I'm probably biased as I work in a shop for the one that does not have a loyalty scheme and one day I'll be shot for posting on these forums by my boss, but in this case I think the supermarket that does not have a loyalty card is doing more for their customers than the ones that do.
Asda does not spend anything on running a loyalty card scheme and I think that the way they try to win loyalty of customers is by not charging a premium for doing so
As I say... it could be said that I suffer from bias, but I try not to show bias and I'm not being critical of anyone who likes loyalty schemes (I do have Air Miles and a Nectar card too) :A0 -
I have just spent £4.86 and received a voucher for £6.16 - most of the stuff I bought was reduced by 75% - so it must work on mark downs too - I'm not complaining lol:rotfl:0

I was passing a sainsbury the other day popped in for a look around and got a nice bargain of 100g jelly belly beans for 90p and till spit for £3 of £20 spend so decided to give brand match ago (normaly use asda or tesco)
spent £20.50 today and should have got a £10 coupon but only got £8 will be calling them after 9AM to get them to sort it. (I think the problem was with the Cheestrings as they are exactly £2 cheaper at asda)
any way here is my list
1x Ribena Blackcurrant (2lt) £2A 4.99S
1x Cheestrings Twisted 12 pack (240g) £2A £4S
1x Dairylea Cheese Spread (300g) £1A £2S
1x Muller Fruit Corners Variety (6x150g) £1.50A £3.59S
4x Seriously Strong Cheese Spread Smokey (125g) £1A £1.48S0 -

thanks for posting this ,i have a Sains near me so use it quite alot esp when i have a CS to use ,i've managed to get a couple of small BM coupons in the past0 -
It was the cheestrings! and after 4 minutes on the phone to their freephone careline it was all sorted. after checking my reciept details and asda's website, they asked for my nectar card number and say that they will be putting £2(400 points i assume) on that within the next 72 hours. they also said they will be updating the system so the cheestrings compare.letmelogon3 wrote: »should have got a £10 coupon but only got £8 will be calling them after 9AM to get them to sort it.
