Ribena 2L is £4.something in Sainsburys, but £2 in ASDA.

Or Cockburn's port which is £3 cheaper in Tesco.
  • Dairylea ritz dunkers are £1 and bogof in Tesco, but £2.18 each in Sainsburys

Muller yoghurts singles are 30p each in Asda. That's the Lights, Corners and Rices. Sainsburys are doing 4 for £2 or 61p each. For every 4 you buy, you get 80p coupon.

Dowle Egberts 200g is £4 at Asda - £6.59 at Sainsburys

Nescafe Cappuccinos - £1 at Asda - BOGOF at £2.99 at Sainsburys - buy 2 packs and get 99p coupon.

Also remember that you need to do a shop of £20+ before you qualify for the brand match too.

I had a crafty customer - did his shop in two transactions. Branded stuff first. He got a voucher for £5.30 and used it on his Sainsburys branded stuff shop.

    As thatguy1 says:
From Sainsburys website: 'The maximum Brand Match Coupon value is £10.'

It was £20 in Northern Ireland but reduced to £10 when it went nationwide.

That's not the only difference between the Northern Ireland trial run and what it is now... They told me it worked really well in the trial run. That didn't stop them giving me a voucher 40% short of what it should have been, then denying they got it wrong for over an hour.

Lesson learned: Don't assume the printed coupon is for what they owe you. Check on My Supermarket website, then call their Care Line and go through it. If you know you are right, don't back down!

(and if it seems like hard work, is it worth overpaying there in the first place!)

If you missed it, my rather long but completely true story of getting £27 for a £26 basket at Sainsbury is posted here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3541881

Is that crafty or just common sense?

If Sainsbo overpriced branded items versus the competitors they check against, it's probably reasonable to assume they do the same on their brand items :S

(I do like the southern fried chicken at the counter tho, if I'm passing there)

    ....FAIL!

Shopped tonight, spent £26 and apparently my shopping was cheaper then Asda or Tesco by £4.35. I thought I had it!
