Except the 5450HD utilises system RAM, the 512MB card uses another 512MB from the system to bring it to 1GB. My son has the 512MB in his PC, I have the 1GB version which takes another 1GB from the system.0 -
Integrated graphics will (probably) not be able to process a fast-moving simulated (i.e. mathematically calculated) 3D environments as well as a higher performance separate card could.
Video images are based on two-dimensional bitmaps so you probably won't notice much (any?) difference in picture quality with a better video card.
Since you have 8GB RAM, you should have plenty free - even if the onboard graphics use 512MB or 1GB.0 -
Install it and you can then have dual monitors on your PC. Incredibly useful !0

That's a bummer and a bit strange.......the Aero graphical user interface will not automatically be enabled unless the system has a WEI score of 3 or higher
What about your Gaming Graphics score? Did that change for the better?0 -

should the hd 5450 definately be better than the integrated hd 4250? all i have done is uninstall the old driver together with ati catalyst software. installed the card in the pcie 2.0 x16_1 slot and re-installed the new ati catalyst software. the correct driver was installed"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0
