Good Morning Everyone - been missing about three weeks! We returned yesterday from our holiday ( all who said we should go, thank you - you were so right!). Can thoroughly recommend a cruise - it was just so totally relaxing! All the OS scrimping and saving to pay for it really was worth it, so back to the old ways again so as to be able to repeat it at some point in the future!
DS survived...but in all took 4 overdoses. Have decided that, hard though it is, we can do nothing about it at all, so am trying hard to steel myself not to get so worked up in future. Really think I needed the break or I'd have gone mad. He is coming to stay for w/e so need to stay very calm...
Needless to say, we are finding it a bit cooler here - but it's lovely to be at home again really. Not doing too much today as I feel very jet-lagged, but washing is blowing nicely on the line. Came home to a huge bowl-full of tomatoes...and there are still a lot left on the plants!
Needless to say I have a lot to read to catch up with all your news. Big ((HUGS)) to all who need one today - especially Loulou. These anniversaries are always so hard.
take care everyone.Resolution:

Hello everyone!!
Nothing OS here for couple of days either! And it looks like nothing OS today...
I need to put the washing machine on when I get home (hang it up above our Rayburn over night) and tidy up the house before DSS comes for the weekend from Uni. Need to clean bathroom properly and wash the floors too.
Only Tesco burgers and chips for T tonight, quick&easy (and reasonably cheap). Proper cooking tomorrow, for my DSS and OH, promised them goulash.
I think bottle of wine in front of the TV tonight after all the chores are done!:-))0 -
Afternoon all
Loulou - sorry you're not in a good place at the moment, I've been in a similiar situation with my second pregnancy - if you want/need to pm me please do, sometimes it helps to chat - as cliche as it may sound it does get easier, big hugs xxx
Have been to do the food shopping, and the bank, am now supposed to be doing housework and ironing - I have stripped our bed and that's in WM as we speak.
Need a rocket in my a**e at the moment, will now go and re-make our bed and then tackle the ironing - at least I'll have those jobs done.

Afternoon all. I've got quite a big to do list today and not done a fat lot yet
I've been looking for ways to get some extra cash for xmas. I don't have much left to ebay but have taken on 10 extra hours at work during "half term" and today signed up for a focus group for which i'll be paid £50 for 2 hours! Someone was giving loads of flyers out at uni but when I called up they said they only wanted one person per course per uni and I was the first :j That'll be £120 extra by the end of the month.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Adelight the focus group sounds great, thanks to the person who mentioned free insertion on ebay, will take advantage of that this wkend:D I think everyone is looking for extra money at the moment.
Got some of my list done but I also am having a can't be ar@@ed day as well. Although I have been to the bank, got some food shopping and made a Cherry cake for DH.
Tea is pork chops, sausages mash potato and veg and gravy.
Just managed to organise our gas and electric for another 12 months. £168 was the cheapest I could get. I agree its a disgrace how much we are paying for fuel. Ofgem should hang their heads in shame:mad:Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Lou - hugs for you and your hubby hunny x
Im laid up today so nothing OS is happening. I have an appointment at 5.30 so hope I will feel better afterwards. Hugs xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Great to see you back beemuzed and that you had such a wonderful break.
Lou ((((Hugs)))) the first anniversary of anything is always the hardest to get past x
Nurse still re-dressed my arm because she wants to make sure that I wont get an infection and she has given DH enough dressings so that he can do it over the weekend.
Popped over to TK Max and Sports Direct while we were in Bletchley and I managed to get a few more pressies
Dinner tonight is HM pizza and a salad because I promised DD it for when she had her root canal done (She is terrified of dentists)
xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Nearly gave up posting here as the last twice I have lost a beautifully crafted message (!) before you could all get the benefit of it. Third time lucky (I hope.)
Not a lot done today as went out to lunch and it wore me out. Enjoying yourself really takes it out of one, don't you find? My head is saying,"For goodness sake get up and tidy this disgusting house and sort out that great pile of papers on your desk." Unfortunately some unseen force is pushing me back on to the sofa. What can I do? The force is with me.
notjustlaura: you have really trained your cats well. Our little horror bustles IN from the garden to use her tray and then disappears back out there. I've failed as a parent!
bramble: £10. Wow, that's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Don't spend it all in riotous living will you?
JulieG: good luck with the test on Monday, lots of thoughts will be with you.
Loulou: Sweetie, you have so much to cope with, please be very loving and kind to yourself.
Well, the vicaress has just returned from a rehearsal of the Nativity Play the Youth Club are putting on at Christmas. She is singing 'The Hokey Cokey'. The mind boggles.I believe that friends are quiet angels
