Yawn.............Morning ladies, so tired:( have no idea why , slept really well last night.A quick walk up the garden path to put the washing out will wake me up, its a bit fresh out there this morning;).
Brekkie today is porridge with a banana. That will set me up till lunchtime. Still haven't decided on weightwatchers or slimming world , I thought my neighbour had lost weight using one of these (I'm talking about 8 stone loss) so asked her which one she used , only to find out that she was using diet pills off the internet:eek::eek:. Not for me I think, my gp said that he could prescribe me something to help with the weight loss I said no at the time as I presume it would be reductil or the other one , cannot remember its name and I read up before on these and wasnt to keen on possible side effects if I remember rightly.
Have parents evening today for ds3, he is in school today after having a couple of days off being exhausted , am sure it will be a good report. He is coping really well atm, will update after we have been to the parents evening.
My sister popped round about half ten last night , I was just about to go to bed, she had been to tesco to get ingrediants for my niece's cooking lesson today, she is in her first year of secondary school, they are making pasta bake, she is 12 , she has known how to make pasta bake for years, she bought round 16 packs of chicken breast for me that had been reduced from £6 to 50P , So they are all in the freezer. She said there was about 50 packets there when she left. Won't be buying chicken for a while;):)
Not really got anything going on today, may go web surfing for xmas pressies, have a lovely day all:)

Feel like a fraud being on here today as I'm not able to do anything OS.
DD2 needs to have a 4d scan at a private clinic as the NHS don't do them. The Midwife scared DD when she said the baby is huge, baby is due on the 28th and DD wants a home birth but is worried about the size of the baby. 4d scan will tell the circumference of the head, the length she is and the exact weight. DD is doing hypno birthing and needs to be possitive in mind. DH and I will go with her, I'll be holding her hand while DH looks after our 2yr old DGD. I'm looking forward to seeing the baby moving but not looking forward to the 2hr round trip.
Left over chilli for me as I didn't eat last night. DH is doing himself a mixed grill.
Nothing else to report so I'll get me coat !

Loulou - sorry to hear that things are so challenging for you. I hope you they improve before long.

Beth - it's not fraudulent to come on here, especially as you can't do any OSing at the moment. Good luck with the trip to the hospital, and good luck to your DD when the baby arrives. I didn't have scans with mine (they were born a long time ago!) but I think sometimes all this technology gives a bit too much graphic information. I remember my SIL being told that her baby was 'very small'; when she arrived she weighed 10bs 2ozs! Mind you, that was pre-4D scans!

    morning all

off to work for a couple of hours soon - more overtime :j badly needed to be able to afford xmas

betheebee hope DD's scan puts her mind at rest

    Tappers meal sounds lovely

lou (((hugs))) you will soon come out the other side hon - hang in there x

DD2 is making HM beef burgers at school so providing she doesnt scoff them at school we will have those with HM chips and salad for tea

just had my gas/ leccy bill they have put up the monthly DD by £43 . i am locked in till the end of the month but then i will do a comparison and see if i can get a better deal

i also need to cook a gammon joint , will do it in the slow cooker , ive had a SC for years and only use it occasionally , but when i read FRUGAL QUEENS BLOG yesterday she was using hers to cook brisket as it is cheaper than having the oven on , so i made yesterdays chilli in the SC, i couldnt believe the energy difference ( i have a monitor) between the SC and one of the rings on the hob
so from now on if it fits in the SC thats where it goes ! ( !!!!! cat beware :D)

hope everyone has a lovely day

(((hugs))) to all that need - you know who you are xx

edited to add i cant believe the swear filter blocked that!
  • Morning,

I had a busy day yesterday, went to help with church arrangements and was made to sit down and do a basket at the table so I wouldn't faint... LOL they do look after me :) After I saw the midwife (who joked that the babies heart beat fluctuated 1 beat a minute between boys and girls... No help there then!!!!) then I had to make dinner and design a poster for the Church which DH volunteered to do... and realised I was just better!!!

So today the bread is on, the washing machine spinning, the house is tidy, the food shopping and menu are sorted! I have spoken to a midwife about the OGGT on Monday, and booked myself the flu jab! Lucky DH is home in an hour... i'm bored!

This afternoon I have to pop to the bank, then check and water the flowers at the Church. Tomorrow the old trampoline is going to the dump and the new one is going up (DS Saved and Bought this himself... got a good deal from the Grabbit Board), I have to check and water the Church flowers again tomorrow, and make an Orange Drizzle Cake. Sunday is Church in the morning and the afternoon is Family time :)

Dinner tonight is LO Pesto Pasta for my boys, and Porkchop and Cauliflower Cheese for me! Tomorrow Burgers, Sunday Roast Pork Shoulder!!!

Monday I have the OGGT test in the morning, so i won't be online until Tuesday now...!

I hope you all have wonderful weekends x

Loulou ((hugs)) so sorry for the loss of your baby. I have had two miscarriages in the past and it is a devastating thing to go through.

  • Hi Everyone,

I was up and off to work early today - I have sooo much to do but its good to get a head start.

I have put a load of washing in this morning and will do another this evening. I am going to try and do a bit of cleaning this evening too so as to free up the weekend a bit.

I plan to buy a few christmas presents tomorrow (some books on offer in asda at the moment). I am also getting my hair done and have found a cheaper hairdresser so hopefully it will be okay!

Other than that, its pay day today so money needs to be worked out and some paid off credit card. I also need to get petrol and a few bits at the supermarket at lunchtime.

    Have a great day everyone.

  • Good morning all,

I'm feeling happy today, apart from the freezing cold

I popped to post office to get my lottery 4 this week, checked last weeks and won £5.20 on euro and also £1 on scratchcard :j they say it comes in 3's so roll on the lotto draws LOL

Also managed to sell my old camcorder on a local facebook page, They are selling on ebay for about £15-£20 so put it on for £20. Funniest thing happened, 2 people starting arguing over it so I left it to them which resulted in me selling it for £40 :T
Going to add afew more bits 2day, I've made over £400 now on old cobber in the past 6 months :T

Funniest thing happened to my brother (well shouldn't really laugh but it did brighten up my day) He's a postman and after only a week in the job he experienced his first dog bite :rotfl:
He did have to go to A&E as you could see the muscle  but being an ex-marine he finished his round 1st, bless him! He found it funny 2 so I'm allowed to laugh :rotfl:

My foot is much better now so making the most of my sick leave now to get the house in ship shape, it's looking good at last although not great yet :o

Roast pork for tea, I'm going to put it in soon and cook it slowly, it's will taste so yummy and will warm up the house also :p
Also going to try out my new breadmaker :j

    Have a great day all
Big big hugs to all going through a rough patch or anyone just in need :)
