Laptop Bluetooth

Hi
I've just purchased a new laptop and the specification stated it had bluetooth but it turns out it doesn't have it.

Can anyone tell me how effective a USB bluetooth would be and recommend one that I could purchase.

Also, do you think I should contact the supplier as their description was incorrect and request a partial refund and if so, how much should I try and negotiate for?

Thank you

Do you have a link to the laptop that you purchased?

A USB Bluetooth dongle will be similarly effective, though the software supplied might be rudimentary.

Less than £1.50 for a bluetooth dongle, including shipping.

Any decent OS will drive it just fine without any extra software needed.

Take it back to the shop and get them to fit bluetooth or replace it with a model that is as they advertised.

We don't know the spec of the laptop...if it was Bluetooth 3.0, then the module to which you have linked is inadequate. But perhaps this is not important to the OP.

    Hi

Sorry but as a new user I'm not allowed to post with links. It's from tescodirect item no 2127086.

    Thank you

Seems to be some confusuion on the Tesco website, twice it mentions having Blutooth under both Description and Features but then under Features it also says "Bluetooth No".

As it's an Acer I would just send it back and get something better.

I thought they'd updated their system but I'd quoted the incorrect item no on previous post - it should be 2127205 (the same model but different colour). Under Features it does say "Bluetooth Yes".

    Cheers

Take it back. It's not worth £400. It that how much you paid?

I don't think it is worth £100 more than this one. Especially as it does not have the advertised Bluetooth.

Long story but ended up paying 339 for it which I thought was ok. Do you think it is ok for that price or is the Fujitsu better? Hoping to negotiate a further discount because it doesn't have the Bluetooth but don't know how much it would cost to purchase one that will be suitable for the laptop.

See post #3 or try a £1 shop, they are £1 if you can find stock.
