NPB saying they have paid?

I have opened a npb 2 days ago after no contact or payment. The buyer has just sent me a ' where is my item' message saying they paid a few days ago?
The item is showing up in my eBay as buyer has not paid and there has been no paypal payment in my account. I have politely replied and asked them to check their paypal account to make sure payment was sent. Is there any sort of paypal problem at the moment or is the buyer fibbing? I have never had this problem before

Have you checked you had the correct paypal email address in the listing?.0

You could ask them for the Transaction ID: located at the top right of the email they would have received for making payment or in their Paypal account.
Then ask Paypal to investigate their claims.0 -
Ok, now I have just checked the item page and it says 'payment was initiated and is being processed through paypal' ?0

Sounds like the email address is fine then if all others have gone through ok.0 -

Sounds like they have paid by echeque, do not post the item until this clears.0 -
^This. But do make sure you tell the buyer that it will take 5-7 days for the echeque to clear and that Paypal advise that you are not to send until it has cleared.GregtheHammer wrote: »Sounds like they have paid by echeque, do not post the item until this clears.0 -
Will do thanks, it's very strange, normally when I get an echeque I will get an email notification and it will show up in my paypal account?0

What does the payment status say in your Paypal account? If its an echeque it should clearly show as such as you said.0
