2-3 day test drives

Not much hope for you,and will depend of what you are buying. I managed to get half a day from Audi, but that was a struggle.
Alternative is to find a renatl company and hire the model you want for a day of two.0 -
Toyota are offering 2 day test-drives on the Auris, my dad is getting one in 2 weeks time. I think you're cheeky to ask for someone who isn't going to try to sell the car - they're giving you the car for two days, of course they want to sell it to you.0

If you are a company car driver the car companies offer test drives of up to a week, I had a BMW and a SEAT last year for a week each and I was offered an AUDI and a Renault but declined as I liked the SEAT enough to place the oder within a day of driving it. I just asked our fleet mananger to arrange it, my DH had a Vauxhall Zafira on test for a week when they first came out as he was getting one as a company car.
Not sure if it works for private sales, most demo cars are used by the sales people as their company cars and they wouldn't want to be without them for a week.0 -
Ford do the same as Vauxhall for Company cars, up to 3 days. Ring your local dealer.0

Most of the makers websites will offer some sort of extended facility, if you look closely enough.
Some will have designated owners 'clubs' too, offering discounts, magazines & similar.
